2011 YA Reading Challenge

Because I'm such a challenge addict, I created another to overlap with my 75 Books in 2011 Challenge! I really wanted to have a YA catagory so I created one specifically for YA books on LibraryThing. Everyone is welcome to join!

The challenge starts on January 1, 2011 and ends on December 31, 2011.

I've challenged myself to 50 books!

If you'd like to participate, follow this link and join the group

75 Books in 2011 Challenge

I know there are a lot of Good Reads challenge groups but I haven't seen that many for LibraryThing, so I decided to start my own challenge group for the site!

The goal is to read 75 books in 2011 starting on January 1, 2011 and ending on December 31, 2011. There aren't any hard and fast rules for the group, I just want people to have fun! So if you're on LibraryThing and want to join, simply follow this link!

Teaser Tuesdays (Nov. 16)

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

Grab your current read
Open to a random page
Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)

Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

Bianca couldn't see the old woman very well, but somehow she felt the woman's eyes on her, deep blue orbs that examined her very soul and found it wanting. You're a bad mother Bianca Butler!

2010 Holiday Reading Challenge

This reading challenge is hosted by Nely at All About {n}.

Oh, how I love reading challenges! And this one is perfect for me since I have some Amish Christmas fiction on my TBR pile!

I'm going to try to read 5 books (hopefully more) between now and December 31st. Here are the books I'm planning to read so far:

*An Amish Christmas by Cynthia Keller
*White Christmas Pie by Wanda E. Brunstetter

I'll probably read the new Richard Paul Evans book Promise Me and would like to get my hands on Christmas Eve at Friday Harbor by Lisa Kleypas. I think I'll have to get my name on the waiting list at the local library for that one though...so I may not get it in time.

If you'd like to sign up for the challenge, simply head over here ~ http://bookwormygirl.blogspot.com/2010/11/2010-holiday-reading-challenge.html
